NEWS FROM THE CLUB...
Quinton VoneshElisabeth KolbSTUDENTS OF THE MONTH FOR MAY SELECTED
Elisabeth Kolb of Sheyenne High School (left) and Quinton Vonesh from West Fargo High School were chosen as the Students of the Month for their respective schools for the month of May 2018. Both were honored at the Club's luncheon held on May 22nd.
FUGLIE RECOGNIZED FOR YEARS OF SERVICE
Deb Fuglie was honored at the Exchange Club's Dakota Territory District Convention in Mitchell, SD on April 28th and 29th for her 29 years of dedicated service on the District's Board of Directors. She has served in many capacities, including President. Deb is now a volunteer Field Representative for the National Exchange Club. She is pictured here with her husband Ron, who has also been an Exchangite for many years.

The West Fargo Exchange Club was also recognized by the District as having the top website, newsletter and social media platforms the past year.
NATIONAL PRESIDENT-ELECT VISITS WEST FARGO
The West Fargo Exchange Club joined with the Lake Agassiz Exchange Club in welcoming the National Exchange Club's President-Elect Scot Warren to the club's noon luncheon on May 1st. Accompanying Mr. Warren were NEC Region 10 Vice President Barbara Orr and Dakota Territory District Director Jan Bohling. Scot will assume the office of the presidency at the national convention this summer.
District Award WinnersLOCAL STUDENTS WIN DISTRICT AWARDS
Two local students have been selected as recipients of awards from the Exchange Club's Dakota Territory District. Berlyn Salwey of West Fargo High was chosen to receive the District's ACE (Accepting the Challenge of Excellence) Award. Sheyenne High School's Tejas Bajwa was selected as the District's Student of the Year. Beryln and Tejas were the West Fargo Exchange Club's Student of the Month for March for their schools. Congratulations!

Donation to Junior AchievementCLUB SUPPORTS JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT
The West Fargo Exchange Club is pleased to support Junior Achievement. At its April 10th meeting, the Club presented a donation of $1,000 to support their efforts in educating elementary level students about the basics of finance and business.

Supporting our Veterans!WFEC DONATES TO THE SUPPORT OUR VETERANS FUND
At its March 13th luncheon, the West Fargo Exchange Club presented a check for $1,100 to Lonnie Wangen, a representative from the ND Department of Veterans Affairs, for the North Dakota Support our Veterans Fund. Exchangite Jake Lauritsen (left) and Club President Dave Geske are pictured here with Mr. Wangen.

The Support Our Veterans Fund was established to provide resources for emergency needs of North Dakota veterans and their eligible dependents. Emergency needs of veterans may include but are not limited to dental care, vision, hearing, housing, transportation for medical treatment and other special needs as approved by the Fund Advisors. 100% of donations go directly to help veterans. No administrative fees, wages, fund expenses are paid with donations. This is due to a collaborative effort by the ND Department of veterans affairs who processes the applications and the Impact Foundation for covering the non-profit expenses.

CLUB DONATES TO HOSPICE OF THE RED RIVER VALLEY
The West Fargo Exchange Club donated $500 to Hospice of the Red River Valley. President Dave Geske presented a check to the organization's representative at the Club's noon luncheon on February 27th.
